Overnight...fairly calm conditions prevailed last night. Overnight
low temperatures dropped into the upper 40s and low 50s.
Increasing clouds were seen towards daybreak with some very light
showers across the eastern Panhandle.

Today...Light rain showers will continue to move across the
forecast area with mostly cloudy skies. A chance of severe weather
is expected across southwest Nebraska late Thursday afternoon and
evening. The biggest threats with these storms will be gusty winds
and large hail. Afternoon temperatures will range from the low 70s
across the north to the upper 70s south of I-80.
