...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of central Edgefield,
southwestern Saluda and north central Aiken Counties through 745 PM
EDT...

At 654 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Saluda, or 11 miles west of Batesburg-Leesville, moving south at 15
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Edgefield, Saluda, Johnston, Ridge Spring, Aiken Municipal Airport,
Saluda County Airport, Edgefield County Airport, Monetta, Trenton,
Ward, Lick Fork Campground, Strom Thurmond High School, Saluda Co
Sheriff`s Office, Harmony, Emory, Edgefield Federal Correction
Institution, and Saluda High School.

This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 21
and 24.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
