...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN UNION COUNTY THROUGH
230 PM EDT...

At 158 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles south of Monroe, or 6 miles north of Buford, moving east at 30
mph. Another strong storm will move right along the border of Union
County North Carolina and Lancaster County, South Carolina.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sturdivants, Mineral Springs, Jaars, and Trinity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
the Piedmont of North Carolina.
