The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Northeastern Taylor County in west central Texas...
  Southeastern Jones County in west central Texas...

* Until 815 PM CST

* At 508 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Abilene, Tye, Hawley, Buffalo Gap, Hamby, Potosi, Dyess AFB,
  Lake Fort Phantom Hill and Kirby Lake.

This includes the following low water crossings ...
    Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway...
    Intersections along Sammons Street...
    Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive...
    Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard...
    Butternut Underpass...
    Intersections along South 25th Street...
    Industrial between Treadaway and Sayles...
    South 20th Street and Brentwood...
    South 27th Street at Catclaw Creek and
    2000 block of Oak Street.
Do not drive through these low water crossings or any other
low water crossing with water flowing across the roadway.


Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
