Daily Hydrologic Activities Discussion

During the past 24 hours ending at 7AM CDT on Monday, thunderstorms
produced localized heavy precipitation in northeastern Colorado,
western and central Kansas, southern Nebraska, and central and
southeastern South Dakota. Precipitation amounts in these areas
generally ranged from 1.00-3.50 inches with a few locally higher
amounts. Elsewhere across the Missouri River Basin, scattered
precipitation amounts of generally less than 0.50 inches occurred.

For the next 24-hour period ending at 7AM CDT on Tuesday, light to
moderate precipitation of generally less than 0.50 inches is
expected across much of he Missouri River Basin. Higher amounts of
0.50 to 1.50 inches are expected from North Dakota to Iowa along
the northeastern boundary of the basin and from northwestern Kansas
extending northeast through Nebraska. Localized higher amounts are
possible where thunderstorms develop.

Minor to moderate flooding is occurring or forecast at several
locations along the North Platte River in eastern Wyoming and
western Nebraska. The North Platte River is expected to stay above
flood stage for several weeks.

Additionally, minor to moderate flooding is occurring at many
locations in the lower basin due to the recent rainfall.
