...STRONG WINDS AND ELEVATED SURF THROUGH SATURDAY...

LOW PRESSURE SWEEPING EAST ACROSS THE CHUKCHI SEA AND THE NORTHERN
BERING SEA WILL BRING A PERIOD OF BRISK SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. SOUTHWEST WINDS 25 TO 35 MPH AND
ELEVATED SURF WILL DEVELOP OVER THE CHUKCHI SEA COAST NORTHWEST OF
CAPE KRUSENSTERN THIS AFTERNOON. IN ADDITION...SOUTHWEST WINDS 25
TO 35 MPH WILL ALSO DEVELOP ALONG THE BERING STRAIT COAST...ST
LAWRENCE ISLAND...AND NORTON SOUND.

THE WINDS WILL CAUSE ELEVATED SURF ALONG SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST
FACING SHORELINES FROM THE CHUKCHI SEA...THROUGH THE BERING
STRAIT...TO NORTON SOUND. A STORM SURGE OF 2 TO 5 FEET IS
EXPECTED WITH THE HIGHEST STORM SURGE IN NORTON BAY EAST OF
GOLOVIN.

MARINERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR HIGH SEAS AND PEOPLE ALONG SOUTH AND
SOUTHWEST FACING COASTLINES SHOULD MOVE BOATS AND OTHER PROPERTY HIGHER
UP ON THE BEACH.
