Rip Current Risk:      Low Risk. The risk for rip currents is low,
                       however, life threatening rip currents often
                       occur in the vicinity of the South Padre Island
                       jetties. Remember to swim near a lifeguard, if
                       possible.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     Moderate. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and
                       sunglasses, and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or
                       higher. Seek shade during the midday hours of
                       10 am to 4 pm.

Weather:               Sunny.

Temperatures:          Upper 60s.

Wind:                  North 10 to 15 mph.

Wave Heights:          1 to 2 feet.

Surf Temperature:      57 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       56 degrees.

Tides:                 A low at 4 23 am. A minor high at 7 o1 am.
                       A minor low at 2 o3 pm. A high at 8 37 pm.

Outlook:               A low risk of rip currents will be expected
                       through the upcoming workweek. Temperatures
                       each afternoon will reach up into the upper
                       60s and low 70s with mostly sunny to partly
                       cloudy skies. Thursday and Friday afternoon
                       will feature slight chances for showers.
