A cold front continued to sink southward across the area today
extending from northern Missouri to northeastern New Mexico this
evening. A few thunderstorms formed just north of this boundary
late this afternoon. One storm passed through northern Hodgeman
county producing large hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning,
and heavy rain. Rainfall amounts of over 2 inches were reported in
some locations. Otherwise partly to mostly cloudy skies were
observed throughout the day. Highs today ranged from the upper 70s
across northern Kansas to lower 90s across south central Kansas.

An upper level disturbance will move into the area tonight leading
to mostly cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms. Meanwhile, the
cold front at the surface will continue to sink southward.
Additional thunderstorms are possible again tomorrow as the
frontal boundary becomes stationary across northern Oklahoma and
the TX/OK panhandles. Otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies.

Lows overnight are expected to range from the lower 50s across
eastern Colorado to around 70 degrees across north central
Oklahoma. Highs tomorrow are progged to only reach into the mid to
upper 70s with lower 80s across south central Kansas.
