Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Skies were mostly cloudy across western Kansas this morning as
storms in north central Kansas began to weaken. A few showers were
present in Pratt county with a few rumbles of thunder. Lows fell
into the low to mid 60s across much of western Kansas.

An upper level disturbance will move into western Kansas this
afternoon as a surface low pressure moves east into Kansas from
eastern Colorado. Severe thunderstorms will likely develop this
afternoon along a dryline from Dighton to Meade. Storms that form
may produce hail larger than baseballs and have damaging winds.
Conditions will be favorable for tornadoes late this afternoon.

Highs today will climb into the low to mid 80s across eastern
Colorado and across Kansas. The extreme southwestern portions of
Kansas may reach into the upper 80s and low 90s. Lows tonight will
range from the low to mid 50s in eastern Colorado and western
Kansas to the mid to upper 60s in the central and eastern portions
of the state.
