AFTER A VERY COLD START TO THE DAY, TEMPERATURES WERE ABLE TO WARM
UP GENEROUSLY AS COLD ARCTIC AIR SCOURED OUT. WITH THE ONSET OF
WARMER AIR, SOME RAPID MELTING OCCURRED WITH THE EXISTING SNOWPACK
FROM THE PREVIOUS SNOW STORMS. HIGHS TODAY RANGED FROM THE UPPER 30S
IN EASTERN COLORADO TO THE MID 50S IN SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA.

AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OVER THE DESERT SOUTHWEST WILL MOVE FARTHER
EAST INTO CENTRAL TEXAS BY WEDNESDAY MORNING.  THIS SYSTEM IS
EXPECTED TO WEAKEN AS IT MIGRATES INTO THE GULF COAST STATES.
SURFACE TROUGHING IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BRIEFLY IN THE CENTRAL
PLAINS. BY WEDNESDAY EVENING, A COLD FRONT WILL BRING ANOTHER SHOT
OF COLD AIR TO THE CENTRAL PLAINS FOR THE END OF THE WEEK. MOSTLY
CLEAR SKIES ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT WITH CLOUDS INCREASING WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON.

LOWS TONIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE TEENS IN EASTERN COLORADO AND
WESTERN KANSAS. LOWER 20S WILL BE EXPECTED IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.
HIGHS ON WEDNESDAY WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 30S IN NORTHEASTERN
COLORADO TO THE UPPER 40S IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA.
