Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Skies were mostly clear across much of western Kansas during the
overnight hours. Conditions were quiet across western Kansas as
storms moved through the eastern portions of the state. Winds were
light out of the north, and temperatures fell into the upper 40s
to mid 50s.
A strong upper level low pressure system will approach Nevada and
Utah this afternoon. At the surface, low pressure will build in
eastern Colorado. Quiet and clear weather is expected today
across western Kansas today. Scattered and severe thunderstorms
will be possible tomorrow afternoon east of Highway 183. Threats
for the storms tomorrow will be large hail, strong winds, and a
possibility for tornadoes.
Highs today will range from the low to mid 70s in eastern Colorado
and northwestern Kansas to the upper 70s and lower 80s across
central and eastern Kansas. Lows tonight will range from the mid
to upper 40s in eastern Colorado and western Kansas to the low to
upper 50s across the central portions of the state.
