Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Skies were mostly clear across much of western Kansas before
storms began to build during the late afternoon and early evening
hours. Several storms produced hail as large as tennis balls. One
storm produced a tornado north of Deerfield. Highs climbed into
the low to mid 80s across much of western Kansas.

A strong upper level system will persist across the Pacific
Northwest tonight as a surface low pressure builds across eastern
Colorado. Storms will persist through the early overnight hours
tonight across western Kansas, but the severe threat will rapidly
diminish before midnight. Storms will again be possible in the
late afternoon tomorrow.

Lows tonight will range from the low to mid 50s in eastern
Colorado and western Kansas to the low to mid 60s in the central
and eastern portions of the state. Highs tomorrow will range from
the mid to upper 70s in central and eastern Kansas to the low to
mid 80s in eastern Colorado and western Kansas.
