Mostly clear skies prevailed across western Kansas overnight, with
the exception of one lone brief thunderstorm that developed early
this morning in central Kansas. This thunderstorm then dissipated
shortly after sunrise. Low temperatures ranged from the upper 50s in
southeastern Kansas, to the upper 60s in central and southwest
Kansas.

Upper level high pressure ridging will persist across the Southern
and Central Plains through the first of the work week, while an area
of surface low pressure troughing remains from the Northern Plains
through western Kansas and into eastern New Mexico. Little active
weather is expected across western Kansas today, with a slight
chance for thunderstorms in western Kansas and southeast Colorado
tomorrow afternoon into evening. Temperatures will rise to well
above normal across central and western Kansas through the first of
the work week.

High temperatures today will rise into the upper 80s to low 90s from
eastern into central Kansas, with mid 90s to around 100 across
western Kansas into eastern Colorado. Lows tonight will only drop
into the upper 60s to low 70s across Kansas.
