MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES PREVAILED ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS OVERNIGHT,
WHILE SHOWERS MOVED THROUGH WESTERN KANSAS IN THE EARLY MORNING
HOURS WITH A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER. LOW TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE
LOW TO MID 50S ACROSS KANSAS OVERNIGHT WITH SOME AREAS IN
NORTHWESTERN KANSAS DROPPING TO THE UPPER 40S.

WEAK UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE RIDGING WILL MOVE EAST OUT OF
WESTERN KANSAS AND AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL MOVE INTO THE
CENTRAL PLAINS. AN UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL REMAIN LOCATED IN THE
PACIFIC NORTHWEST THROUGH THE DAY. WEAK SURFACE LOW PRESSURE WILL
FORM AND STRENGTHEN IN EASTERN COLORADO AS THE DAY PROGRESSES.
TODAY THERE IS A CHANCE FOR MORE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IN WESTERN
KANSAS THROUGH THE EVENING. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE LARGE
HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS, AND HEAVY RAIN.

HIGHS TODAY WILL REACH INTO THE LOW 80S ACROSS KANSAS EXCEPT FOR
NORTHWEST PORTIONS OF THE STATE WHERE HIGHS WILL BE IN THE UPPER
70S. LOWS TONIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE MID TO UPPER 50S IN WESTERN
KANSAS AND THE LOW TO MID 60S IN THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN PORTIONS
OF THE STATE.
