Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Low stratus clouds covered much of western Kansas yesterday and
began to clear out after midnight. Light rain showers occurred
across the southern portions of the state through the early
overnight hours. Precipitation amounted to less than a quarter of
an inch. Lows fell into the low to mid 30s across much of the
western half of the state.

An upper level trough will continue progressing northeast into the
Midwest through the afternoon. At the surface, high pressure will
persist across the Central Plains. Quiet and dry weather is
expected today. Clear skies will bring warmer weather across the
state today with light winds out of the north and northwest.

Highs today climb into the low to mid 60s across the Central
Plains. Lows tonight will range from the mid to upper 30s in
eastern Colorado and western Kansas to the low to mid 40s across
the rest of the state.
