Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Scattered thunderstorms moved across western Kansas during the
evening hours today. The strongest storms moved across Hamilton
and Kearney counties bringing gusty winds and hail in excess of
one inch. Elsewhere across the state, scattered showers and
thunderstorms dropped heavy rain at times and produced gusty
winds. Highs climbed into the low 80s.

An upper level disturbance will move across Kansas during the
overnight hours tonight. At the surface, a weak low pressure will
persist in eastern Colorado. Scattered thunderstorms will continue
to move southeast across Kansas during the overnight hours
tonight. Severe weather is not expected, but frequent lightning
and gusty winds are possible.

Lows tonight will range from the upper 40s and lower 50s in
eastern Colorado and western Kansas to the upper 50s and lower 60s
in the central and eastern portions of the state. Highs tomorrow
will climb into the mid to upper 80s across the Central Plains.
