Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Skies were mostly clear across southwestern Kansas today. Winds
were generally light and out of the north at around 5-10 mph.
It was very unseasonably cool behind the cold front that passed
yesterday, with high temperatures barely reaching into the upper
70s and lower 80s.

A strong upper level system will move across the Great Lakes
tonight. At the surface, high pressure will build across the
Central Plains. Quiet and dry weather is expected for the rest of
the weekend. Abnormally cool weather will continue tonight and
tomorrow with near record temperatures expected tonight.

Lows tonight will drop into the low to mid 50s in eastern Colorado
and across Kansas. A few locations may slip into the upper
40s. Highs tomorrow will climb into the mid to upper 80s across
the Central Plains.
