High clouds thickened across western Kansas during the day today,
resulting in mostly cloudy skies across the western half of the
state. High temperatures rose into the upper 80s to low 90s in
eastern and central Kansas, with mid 90s to around 100 in southwest
Kansas.

An upper level low pressure trough in eastern Colorado will lift
northeast overnight, while surface low pressure troughing in eastern
Colorado and western Kansas remains nearly stationary. A chance of
thunderstorms exists for northwest Kansas into Nebraska overnight,
with only a very slight chance for thunderstorms in southwest
Kansas. A better chance for thunderstorms will occur across
southwest Kansas tomorrow evening. Temperatures will remain slightly
above normal through the weekend.

Low temperatures tonight will drop into the low 60s from eastern
Colorado through western Kansas, with mid 60s to low 70s from
eastern through central Kansas. Highs tomorrow will reach into the
low to mid 90s across eastern Colorado and all of Kansas.
