REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

1124 AM CDT FRI AUG 21 2015 /1024 AM MDT FRI AUG 21 2015/

Skies were mostly clear across western Kansas during the overnight
hours. Low clouds had spread into much of southern Kansas this
morning out of Oklahoma. Low temperatures were mainly in the upper
50s to lower 60s.

A surface trough will remain along the Kansas/Colorado border
through tonight. A weak upper level disturbance is expected to
move east across Nebraska and Kansas tonight. A warming trend will
continue into Saturday across the region. Scattered thunderstorms
are expected to develop in the Southern High Plains later this
afternoon and evening and spread east. Isolated to widely
scattered thunderstorms may develop farther north in the Western
High Plains and move south to southeast this evening and tonight.

High temperatures this afternoon will range from the lower 80s in
southeastern Kansas to the lower 90s in the Central High Plains.
Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s in the Nebraska
Panhandle and parts of northeastern Colorado to the lower 70s in
central Oklahoma.
