A CLOUDY MORNING PREVAILED ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS WITH LOW LEVEL
STRATUS THAT DEVELOPED THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT. MINIMUM TEMPERATURES
RANGED FROM A MILD 62 DEGREES AT MEDICINE LODGE TO 48 DEGREES AT
HAYS.

THIS STRATUS WILL CONTINUE TO ERODE TODAY AND TEMPERATURES WILL WARM
FASTER WHERE THE CLOUDS ERODE QUICKER. MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES WILL
RANGE FROM THE MID 80S ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS TO THE MID 70S ACROSS
CENTRAL KANSAS.

THE OVERALL METEOROLOGICAL PATTERN IS EXPECTED TO BE FAIRLY STAGNANT
OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. AT THE UPPER LEVELS...NORTHWESTERLY FLOW
WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS. AT THE SURFACE...WEAK LEE
TROUGHING WILL PREVAIL ACROSS THE HIGH PLAINS.

THE NEXT CHANCE FOR MORE IMPACTING SENSIBLE WEATHER AND RESULTANT
APPRECIABLE CHANCES FOR PRECIPITATION WILL COME TOWARDS THE END OF
THE BUSINESS WEEK WHERE RESIDUAL MOISTURE FOR TROPICAL ACTIVITY WILL
LEAD TO SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS.
