1115 AM CDT TUE SEP 1 2015 /1015 AM MDT TUE SEP 1 2015/

Scattered showers and thunderstorms moved northeast across west
central and northwestern Kansas during the overnight hours. There
were still widely scattered showers in the northwest this morning.
Rainfall reports were generally around a quarter inch or less. Low
temperatures were in the 60s to lower 70s.

Upper level high pressure will be located across the Southern
Plains through tonight, while a surface trough remains in the lee
of the Rockies. Temperatures will be several degrees above average
this afternoon, especially in the west. Isolated to widely
scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop again late this
afternoon and tonight in the Western High Plains, however most
areas will remain dry.

High temperatures this afternoon will be in the lower and mid 90s.
Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s in the Nebraska
Panhandle to the lower 70s in the eastern portion of the plains.
