Skies were clear across much of western Kansas during the day
today. Several strong thunderstorms moved through the central
portions of the state during the evening. Hail the size of
quarters fell in Pratt, Edwards and Stafford counties. In
addition, heavy rain fell across parts of those counties.  Highs
climbed into the mid to upper 90s.

A weak upper level disturbance will move across eastern Kansas
tonight. At the surface, a cold front will move into northwest
Kansas. Quiet and dry weather is expected tonight as the few
remaining showers will dissipate before midnight. Chances for
showers and storms will pick up again after sunrise as a cold
front progresses across the state during the day. Severe weather
will be possible with the largest threats being marginal hail and
gusty winds.

Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s and lower 60s in
eastern Colorado and extreme northwestern Kansas to the mid to
upper 60s further east. Highs tomorrow will range from the upper
70s and lower 80s in eastern Colorado and northwestern Kansas to
the mid to upper 80s across the rest of the state.
