REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

Southwest and south central Kansas had periods of light snow
overnight. While most areas received under an two inches of snow,
Ford, Gray, Haskell, Stevens, and Seward counties had reports of
snow depths of 2 to 3 inches. Western Kansas had a cloudy sky and
very cold temperatures, with lows ranging from around 3 degrees to
around 13 degrees.
An upper level trough of low pressure across the Central Plains
today. At the surface, high pressure extending across the northern
and central plains will continue ushering in very cold air. Areas of
light snow in eastern Oklahoma will recede to the southeast early
this afternoon and light snow in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles
is expected to be over by late afternoon.
High temperatures will vary from the lower teens in southern
Nebraska to around 20 degrees in eastern Kansas and the lower 30s in
southeast Oklahoma. It will be cold tonight with lows from around 10
below in Nebraska to the minus single digits in Kansas and around 2
degrees in the Oklahoma panhandle.
