REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

Cooler temperatures and gusty north winds were ushered in with the
passage of a cold front in western Kansas. Light snow was also being
observed this evening across portions of eastern Colorado. Even some
light rain was being reported in southeastern Colorado. Highs today
ranged from upper 40s and lower 50s across western Kansas with a few
lower 60s in the south central portions of the state.
Another shot of winter weather is expected tonight and Saturday as
an upper level trough slips across the Central Plains. Cold surface
high pressure will continue to funnel into the Central Plains
tonight behind a cold front moving into the Southern Plains. Snow
will be possible along the Colorado border this evening before
expanding farther east after midnight. Snow will be likely Saturday
morning before ending late in the day.
Temperatures in the lower to mid 20s are expected tonight across
western Kansas with mid 30s possible around Oklahoma City. Highs on
Saturday will range from the lower 50s in northwestern Kansas to the
mid 30s in the south central half of the state.
