MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES DURING THE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON GAVE WAY
TO CLOUDY SKIES WITH SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS
BY MID AFTERNOON. SOME OF THESE STORMS IN FAR WESTERN KANSAS
CONTAINED UP TO QUARTER SIZE HAIL, LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN, WITH GUSTY
WINDS. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE UPPER 70S TO MID 80S FROM
EASTERN COLORADO THROUGH NORTHWEST KANSAS, TO AROUND 100 DEGREES
FROM SOUTHWEST THROUGH SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

THE LARGE UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL SLOWLY PROGRESS EAST
INTO THE GREAT BASIN REGION OF THE ROCKIES, WHILE THE NEARLY
STATIONARY SURFACE FRONT ORIENTED EAST TO WEST ACROSS THE CENTER OF
KANSAS MOVES VERY LITTLE THROUGH TOMORROW. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS
ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS THIS EVENING WILL GRADUALLY DIE OUT OVERNIGHT,
WITH A CHANCE FOR MORE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING TOMORROW AFTERNOON.
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN NEAR OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH
TOMORROW.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE UPPER 50S TO UPPER 60S
FROM EASTERN COLORADO THROUGH WESTERN KANSAS, WITH LOW 70S ACROSS
CENTRAL AND EASTERN KANSAS. HIGHS TOMORROW WILL REACH THE MID 80S TO
MID 90S ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS, WITH UPPER 90S IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN
KANSAS.
