WHILE ONLY THE HINT OF A FEW HIGH CLOUDS WERE OBSERVED ACROSS
WESTERN KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON, A FEW THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED ACROSS
THE SOUTHWESTERN HALF OF THE STATE LATE THIS EVENING. THESE STORM
REACHED SEVERE LIMITS WITH HAIL BEING THE PRIMARY THREAT. GOLF BALL
SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED NORTHEAST OF JOHNSON CITY WHILE QUARTER SIZE
HAIL WAS OBSERVED NORTH OF BIG BOW. HIGHS TODAY RANGED FROM THE
UPPER 80S IN EASTERN COLORADO TO THE MID 90S IN SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS.

AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL MOVE INTO THE CENTRAL ROCKIES BY SUNDAY
AFTERNOON BEFORE DRIFTING INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS BY SUNDAY EVENING.
MEANWHILE, A SURFACE TROUGH OVER EASTERN COLORADO WILL MIGRATE INTO
CENTRAL KANSAS AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT MOVING INTO
NORTHWESTERN KANSAS BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE
TO MOVE ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN KANSAS THIS EVENING. SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT WITH HAIL BEING THE
PRIMARY THREAT. THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE ON SUNDAY.

LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 50S IN EASTERN COLORADO TO THE
LOWER 70S IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. HIGHS ON SUNDAY WILL RANGE FROM THE
MID 80S IN NORTHEASTERN COLORADO TO THE UPPER 90S IN SOUTHWESTERN
KANSAS. A FEW LOWER 100S COULD BE POSSIBLE NEAR THE OKLAHOMA BORDER.
