Temperatures overnight across western Kansas and eastern Colorado
ranged from the mid to upper 20s under mostly clear skies. Lows
this morning across the panhandle of Oklahoma and extreme
southwest Kansas were a little warmer and varied from 30 to near
35 degrees.

An upper level ridge will persist in the western United States
today with northwest flow aloft over the central part of the
country. Embedded in this northwest flow a subtle upper level
disturbance will move out of the northern plains and into the Ohio
Valley. At the surface a warm front will cross eastern Kansas this
afternoon as a weak cold front drops south into Western Kansas
early tonight.

Temperatures today will be between 15 and 25 degrees above the
seasonal averages for this time of year. Highs will range from the
mid 50s in north central Kansas to the mid 70s across extreme
southwest Kansas and the Panhandle of Oklahoma. Lows tonight will
range from the mid 20s in central Kansas to the lower 30s in the
Panhandle of Oklahoma and northwest Oklahoma.
