REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

Remnant high clouds from the evening thunderstorms kept skies across
western Kansas partly cloudy overnight. Low temperatures ranged from
the upper 60s in eastern Colorado and far western Kansas, to the
upper 70s in central Kansas.
A weak upper level disturbance will cross the Central Plains this
evening, otherwise, upper level high pressure ridging will dominate
the Central and Southern Plains. A broad area of surface low
pressure will remain across western Kansas through tomorrow, with a
weak cold front becoming stationary across northern Kansas tonight
into tomorrow. With the approaching upper level disturbance, a
chance for thunderstorm development will occur across western Kansas
late this afternoon into tonight. Temperatures will remain above
normal today and tomorrow.
High temperatures will reach into the low to mid 90s in northwest
and eastern Kansas today, with 100 to 105 degrees expected in
central and southwest Kansas. Lows tonight will drop into the low to
upper 60s from eastern Colorado through far western Kansas, with low
to upper 70s across the rest of Kansas.
