Skies were cloudy across western Kansas last night and early this
morning before they began to clear out by mid morning. A few
showers persisted through the overnight after the severe weather
began to taper before midnight. Rainfall amounted to greater than
two inches across parts of west central Kansas. Lows ranged from
the low to mid 40s in eastern Colorado and western Kansas to the
mid to upper 50s in the central and eastern portions of the state.

An upper level low pressure system will pass over western Kansas
this afternoon along with a surface low pressure. Both will slowly
progress northeast through the day. There will be a chance for
storms across south central Kansas this afternoon and evening. The
risk for tornadoes is not as great as it has been lately with the
largest threat being strong winds and hail up to 2 inches.

Highs today will range from the low to mid 60s in northwestern
Kansas to the upper 70s and lower 80s across the central and
eastern portions of the state. Lows tonight will range from the
upper 40s and lower 50s in eastern Colorado and western Kansas to
the mid to upper 50s in the central and eastern portions of the
state.
