MID AND HIGH CLOUDS MOVED INTO WESTERN KANSAS BY MIDNIGHT, WITH
LOWER CLOUDS, THUNDERSTORMS, AND AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN
EXPANDING EAST FROM COLORADO THROUGH WESTERN KANSAS BY EARLY THIS
MORNING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVERNIGHT HAVE RANGED FROM NEARLY A HALF
INCH NEAR DODGE CITY, TO OVER AN INCH AND A HALF NEAR THE COLORADO
BORDER IN SOUTHWEST HAMILTON COUNTY. TEMPERATURES DROPPED INTO THE
MID TO UPPER 40S ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS BY EARLY THIS MORNING, WITH
LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S TO LOW 50S IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN KANSAS.

THE STRONG UPPER LEVEL TROUGH EXTENDING FROM EASTERN COLORADO
SOUTHEAST INTO THE TEXAS PANHANDLE WILL MOVE NORTHEAST TODAY, WITH A
WEAKER, SECONDARY TROUGH CROSSING WESTERN KANSAS TONIGHT. SURFACE
LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING ALONG A NEARLY STATIONARY FRONT NEAR THE
OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS BORDER WILL MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS OKLAHOMA INTO
SOUTHEAST KANSAS BY TOMORROW MORNING. THIS COMBINATION OF THE UPPER
LEVEL AND SURFACE SYSTEMS WILL CONTINUE TO BRING RAIN TO WESTERN
KANSAS TODAY AND TONIGHT, BEFORE ENDING BY MID MORNING TOMORROW.
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN WELL BELOW NORMAL THROUGH FRIDAY.

HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL ONLY REACH THE MID 40S TO MID 50S
ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS, WITH UPPER 50S TO UPPER 60S IN CENTRAL AND
EASTERN KANSAS. LOWS TONIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE UPPER 30S TO LOW 40S
FROM EASTERN COLORADO THROUGH WESTERN KANSAS, WITH MID 40S TO LOW
50S ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF KANSAS.
