Skies were mostly clear across western Kansas with some higher
based clouds during the afternoon with unseasonably warm
temperatures. Dodge City and Garden City broke record high
temperatures with highs of 98 and 99 respectively. These record
highs were set in the 1970s. In addition, winds were a bit gusty
out of the south at around 20-30 mph during the afternoon. Highs
climbed into the mid to upper 90s.

An upper level disturbance will approach the 4 Corners Region
tonight. At the surface, a low pressure will persist in eastern
Colorado. Quiet and dry weather is expected tonight. The next
chance for precipitation will be tomorrow afternoon across extreme
southwestern Kansas. Widespread severe weather is not expected,
but a few storms could have small hail and gusty winds.

Lows tonight will range from the low to upper 60s in eastern
Colorado and western Kansas to the upper low to mid 70s in the
central and eastern portions of the state. Highs tomorrow will
climb into the low to mid 90s across the Central Plains.
