STRONG NORTHWESTERLY WINDS CONTINUED ACROSS THE HIGH PLAINS THROUGH
THE EARLY EVENING HOURS. LIGHT SNOW DEVELOPED EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON
OVER EASTERN COLORADO AND WESTERN KANSAS MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN
SOME LOCATIONS. HIGHS TODAY RANGED FROM THE LOWER 30S IN EASTERN
COLORADO TO THE MID 40S IN SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS.

A WELL DEFINED UPPER LEVEL TROUGH EXTENDING FROM THE UPPER MIDWEST
INTO WESTERN TEXAS WILL BE DRIFTING FARTHER EAST INTO THE
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BY WEDNESDAY EVENING. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL
SLOWLY BUILD INTO THE HIGH PLAINS THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AS
TROUGHING DEVELOPS ALONG THE LEE SIDE OF THE ROCKIES. LIGHT SNOW
WILL CONTINUE TO TAPPER OFF THROUGH MIDNIGHT WITH SKIES CLEARING
TOWARDS EARLY MORNING. MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES ARE EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY
WITH MUCH WARMER TEMPERATURES EXPECTED FOR CHRISTMAS DAY.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE TEENS IN NORTHEASTERN
COLORADO TO THE LOWER 30S IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. HIGHS ON WEDNESDAY
WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 30S IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA TO THE MID
40S IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.
