Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Skies were mostly clear across southwestern Kansas last night and
this morning as quiet weather persisted across the region. Winds
were out of the south at around 10-15 mph and lows fell into the
upper 50s and lower 60s.

A strong upper level system will move into the Dakotas this
afternoon and will bring a cold front into Kansas during the day
Friday. Quiet and dry weather is expected today and tonight.
Widespread thunderstorms will be likely tomorrow as the cold front
passes through Kansas. Wind and hail will be the primary threat.

Highs today will climb into the low to mid 90s across the Central
Plains.  Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s and lower 60s
in eastern Colorado and western Kansas to the mid to upper 60s
further east.
