REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DODGE CITY KS
913 PM CST FRI DEC 12 2014

LOW CLOUDS AND FOG DOMINATED MUCH OF WESTERN KANSAS AGAIN TODAY,
WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM THE MID 40S IN FAR WESTERN
KANSAS, TO THE UPPER 50S IN CENTRAL KANSAS.

UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE RIDGING OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS WILL MOVE
INTO THE MISSOURI RIVER VALLEY BY TOMORROW EVENING, AS THE STRONG
UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN THE FAR WEST APPROACHES THE 4
CORNERS REGION OF THE SOUTHWEST. SURFACE LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP
ALONG A NEARLY STATIONARY FRONT IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO BY MID DAY
TOMORROW. THIS LOW AND FRONT WILL MOVE INTO SOUTHWESTERN KANSAS
TOMORROW EVENING, BRINGING A RESPITE FROM THE FOG BY MID DAY
TOMORROW. HOWEVER, THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING AN INCREASING CHANCE FOR
RAIN AND POSSIBLY A THUNDERSTORM OR TWO ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS LATE
TOMORROW NIGHT INTO SUNDAY.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE UPPER 30S TO LOW 40S IN
FAR WESTERN KANSAS AND EASTERN COLORADO, WITH MID TO UPPER 40S
ACROSS THE REST OF KANSAS. HIGHS TOMORROW WILL REACH THE MID TO
UPPER 50S ACROSS ALL BUT FAR SOUTHWEST KANSAS AND THE OKLAHOMA
PANHANDLE, WHERE HIGHS WILL REACH THE LOW TO MID 60S.
