REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

Mid and high clouds kept skies partly cloudy across western Kansas
today, as a trough of low pressure moved into the northwest part of
the state. Temperatures were very mild today, with highs mainly in
the mid 70s to low 80s.
A vigorous upper level low pressure trough in the Northern Rockies
will push southeast into western Kansas by tomorrow evening, while a
surface cold front enters western Kansas tomorrow morning, and
crosses the state by tomorrow evening. With this front will be a
chance for rain, possibly mixing with some snow, primarily around
the I-70 corridor, along with strong and gusty northerly winds
during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will remain near
normal through tomorrow, but drop to below normal tomorrow night.
Low temperatures tonight will drop into the upper 30s to low 40s
across the western and central parts of Kansas, with mid 40s in the
eastern third of the state. Highs tomorrow will range from the low
50s in northwest Kansas, to the low 70s in southeastern Kansas.
