A much cooler airmass funneled into western Kansas today behind a
cold front moving into the Red River Valley. High temperatures today
ranged from the lower 80s eastern Colorado to the upper 80s in
northern Kansas.

Northwesterly flow aloft will continue to prevail across the
Northern and Central Plains through Wednesday afternoon. Surface
high pressure over western Kansas will shift further east on
Wednesday as troughing develops on the lee side of the Rockies.
Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight with warmer temperatures
returning on Wednesday.

Lows tonight will range from the lower 60s in southern Nebraska to
the lower 70s in central Oklahoma. Highs on Wednesday will range
from the mid 80s in southern Nebraska to the mid 90s in extreme
southwestern Kansas.
