Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas

Skies were cloudy across western Kansas through the evening today.
Low stratus clouds began to break during the late morning. Winds
were out of the southeast at around 15 to 20 mph during the
afternoon and evening. Temperatures were again unseasonably cool
as highs only reached the mid to upper 60s across much of western
Kansas.

An upper level ridge will remain parked over the Central Plains as
a strong upper level disturbance moves into the Pacific Northwest.
At the surface, a weak low pressure will persist in eastern
Colorado. There will be a slight chance for showers and storms
late tonight across western Kansas. Severe weather is not
expected tonight. Storms will develop tomorrow afternoon after
around 3PM. Some of these storms may be severe with large hail
and strong winds.

Lows tonight will fall into the mid to upper 50s in eastern
Colorado and across Kansas. Highs tomorrow will range from the
upper 70s and lower 80s in eastern Colorado and western Kansas to
the low to mid 70s in central and eastern Kansas.
