REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

LOW CLOUDS AND FOG HAD SPREAD INTO MUCH OF WESTERN KANSAS EARLY THIS
MORNING.  VISIBILITIES WERE REDUCED TO LESS THAN A QUARTER MILE IN
SOME LOCATIONS, BUT HAD IMPROVED BY MID MORNING.  LOW TEMPERATURES
WERE MAINLY IN THE UPPER 20S TO MID 30S.

A WEAK UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL MOVE EAST OUT OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS
THIS AFTERNOON, WHILE ANOTHER STRONGER UPPER TROUGH MOVES INTO THE
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL PLAINS TONIGHT.  A WEAK COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED
TO MOVE INTO THE WESTERN PLAINS TONIGHT.  SKIES WILL GENERALLY BE
MOSTLY CLOUDY THROUGH TONIGHT.  THE BEST CHANCE FOR LIGHT RAIN IS
EXPECTED TO BE ACROSS NEBRASKA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
THERE MAY BE SOME LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES IN THE CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS.

HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 40S IN
PARTS OF NORTHEASTERN KANSAS TO AROUND 60 IN PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN
HIGH PLAINS.  LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER AND MID 20S IN
NORTHEASTERN COLORADO TO THE LOWER 40S FROM EASTERN KANSAS TO
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA.
