Showers and thunderstorms developed in northwestern Kansas late this
afternoon and moved southeast into west central and north central
Kansas this evening.  Temperatures warmed up quite a bit this
afternoon across western Kansas.  Highs were in the upper 90s to
around 100.

A cold front will move south tonight through northern Kansas.  By
Tuesday afternoon the front should extend from the Texas Panhandle
across northern Oklahoma.  The best area for severe weather tonight
will be across southeastern Nebraska and northeastern Kansas.  The
showers and thunderstorms in western Kansas will continue to weaken
as they move southeast.  Tuesday will be much cooler across the
Central Plains.  Showers and thunderstorms may develop in the
vicinity and just to the north of the cold front Tuesday afternoon
from the Southern High Plains across northern Oklahoma.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the mid 50s in the Nebraska
Panhandle to the lower 70s from southeastern Kansas to central
Oklahoma.  Highs Tuesday will be mainly in the 80s, however central
Oklahoma will see highs in the mid 90s.
