The National Weather Service in The Twin Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Hennepin County in east central Minnesota...
  Central Anoka County in east central Minnesota...
  Northwestern Ramsey County in east central Minnesota...

* Until 1015 PM CDT

* At 709 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
  area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding
  is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  North Minneapolis, Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids, Blaine, Roseville,
  Andover, Brooklyn Center, Fridley, Shoreview, New Brighton, Lino
  Lakes and Columbia Heights.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches over the next 2 hours
are possible in the warned area.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
