* ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  SOCORRO COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO

* UNTIL 245 AM MDT

* AT 1242 AM MDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  HEAVY RAIN FROM A STREAM OF THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUOUSLY TRAINING
  OVER THE SAME LOCATIONS. LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE THE VICINITY
  OF SOCORRO...BOSQUE DEL APACHE...THE MAGDALENA MOUNTAINS AND THE
  SAN MATEO MOUNTAINS. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR FLASH FLOODING TO
  DEVELOP.

* STRONG FLOWS AND HIGH WATER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED IN ARROYOS...
  SMALL STREAMS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. HAZARDOUS PONDING
  IS ALSO EXPECTED ON I-25 AND HIGHWAY 380 IN SPOTS THROUGH SOCORRO
  COUNTY

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO TELL HOW MUCH
WATER IS ON THE ROAD...DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FAST MOVING WATER OF
UNKNOWN DEPTH.
