SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MOVED ACROSS THE AREA OVERNIGHT. THE
HEAVIEST RAINS...WHICH AMOUNTED TO OVER AN INCH...FELL ACROSS
PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...AND SOUTHEAST
IOWA. OTHERWISE...IT WAS WARM AND MUGGY...WITH LOWS MAINLY IN THE
RANGE OF 70 TO 75 DEGREES.

SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT PORTIONS OF
EASTERN IOWA...AND NORTHWEST ILLINOIS LATE THIS MORNING. THE
ACTIVITY WILL BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD THIS AFTERNOON SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 80. DUE TO THE ABUNDANT MOISTURE OVER THE REGION...ANY
STORMS WILL HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN. IN THE
MEANTIME...WARM AND MUGGY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE...WITH AFTERNOON
HIGHS TOPPING OUT IN THE MIDDLE 80S TO LOWER 90S...AND HEAT INDICES
REACHING WELL INTO THE 90S.
