ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY AFTERNOON...AS A COLD FRONT MOVED THROUGH
THE REGION. IN ADDITION...A FEW LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS OR SPRINKLES WERE
OBSERVED...WITH VERY LIGHT RAINFALL AMOUNTS. TEMPERATURES TOPPED
OUT IN THE UPPER 40S NEAR DUBUQUE...WHILE READINGS IN THE LOWER
60S WERE SEEN NEAR FORT MADISON.

BLUSTERY NORTH NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE OVERNIGHT...AS SKIES
CLEAR FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST. TEMPERATURES WILL PLUNGE INTO
THE UPPER 20S TO MIDDLE 30S BY DAYBREAK. WIND CHILL VALUES DURING
THE MORNING COMMUTE WILL BE IN THE TEENS AND LOWER 20S.

A FRIGID HALLOWEEN IS ON TAP FOR THE AREA FRIDAY...WITH HOWLING
NORTHERLY WINDS GUSTING UP TO 40 MPH...AND BITING WIND CHILL
VALUES IN THE UPPER TEENS TO LOWER 30S FOR MUCH OF THE DAY. ACTUAL
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL CREEP INTO THE UPPER 30S TO MID 40S.
