...Possible High Surf Through Thursday Evening...

A strong low is tracking north across the far western Bering Sea
this evening. This system will continue to bring gale force winds
and high seas to the western Bering through the Kuskokwim Delta
Coast overnight. The combination of strong southwesterly winds and
high seas will raise water levels 1 to 3 feet above high
astronomical tide (grass line) along the coast from the Kuskokwim
Bay northward to Hooper Bay through late this evening. Look for
water levels to be the highest during the evening high tide
cycles, creating the greatest potential for minor flooding of low
lying areas, beach erosion, and rough surf.
