The National Weather Service in Duluth MN has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Itasca County in north central Minnesota...
  Northwestern Aitkin County in east central Minnesota...
  Northeastern Cass County in north central Minnesota...
  Northeastern Crow Wing County in east central Minnesota...

* Until 700 PM CDT

* At 620 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Boy River, or
  22 miles east of Walker, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
           roofs, and outbuildings.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near,
  Remer around 635 PM CDT.
  Swatara around 650 PM CDT.
  Hill City around 655 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Lake
Roosevelt, Waukenabo, Blackberry, Calumet, Bovey, Mud Lake, Split
Hand Lake, Flowage Lake, Wabana Lake, and Laura Lake.


Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from

If on or near area lakes, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike 15 miles from
the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
