Skies were clear to partly cloudy overnight with cool conditions in
central and northeast Minnesota where skies were clear and winds
were light. In these areas, temperatures dropped well below freezing
with several readings in the mid 20s in the arrowhead. Temperatures
were held in the 40s where the skies had more cloud cover and
wind speeds were higher.

This morning will start partly cloudy with a few showers along the
Iowa border and west central Minnesota. By the afternoon, showers
will become more numerous, especially in southwest and west central
Minnesota as a disturbance moves closer to the region. By this
evening, a widespread area of showers will occur across central and
