IT WAS ANOTHER UNSEASONABLY WARM MORNING... WITH LOWS IN THE TEENS
AND 20S ACROSS THE NORTHERN HALF OF MINNESOTA... AND INTO THE 30S
ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF. MORNING FOG DID DEVELOP AND TOOK A WHILE
TO LIFT. AS OF AROUND NOON... A BAND OF CLOUDS WERE FOUND ACROSS
SOUTHERN MINNESOTA WITH MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES SEEN ACROSS CENTRAL AND
NORTHERN MINNESOTA. TEMPERATURES HAVE SINCE RISEN TO THE 30S...
THOUGH AREAS STILL SOCKED IN WITH FOG REMAINED IN THE 20S.

LIGHT RAIN ACROSS SOUTHERN MINNESOTA WILL MOVE EAST THIS AFTERNOON.
SKIES ACROSS THE REGION TODAY WILL RANGE FROM PARTLY TO MOSTLY
CLOUDY. THE MONTH WILL END ON A MILD NOTE WITH HIGHS THIS
AFTERNOON IN THE UPPER 20S TO MIDDLE 30S. A WINTER STORM WILL
BEGIN MOVING NORTHEAST FROM THE DESERT SOUTHWEST ON MONDAY. THE
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS ON TUESDAY
AND REACH THE GREAT LAKES ON WEDNESDAY. THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL
SPREAD SNOW INTO SOUTHERN MINNESOTA ON TUESDAY WITH THE SNOW
SPREADING NORTH AND EAST TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT. HEAVY SNOW
IS LIKELY FROM THIS SYSTEM ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST
AREAS OF THE STATE WITH 6 OR MORE INCHES LIKELY. STRONG NORTHERLY
WINDS DEVELOPING TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUING TUESDAY NIGHT
HAVE PROMPTED A BLIZZARD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF FAR SOUTHERN
MINNESOTA. A WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR TUESDAY AND
TUESDAY NIGHT FOR SECTIONS OF THE SOUTHEAST WHERE HEAVY SNOW BUT
LESS WIND IS EXPECTED. FOR NORTHERN MINNESOTA... ONLY AN INCH OR
TWO OF ACCUMULATION IS LIKELY. COLDER WEATHER WILL RETURN IN THE
WAKE OF THE STORM SYSTEM AND PERSIST INTO NEXT WEEKEND.
