A cold front had moved as far east as the Twin Cities and Mankato
during the pre dawn hours. Ahead of the cold front, low clouds
formed along with some fog in southeast Minnesota. Pre dawn
temperatures across the state ranged from the low 50s ahead of the
front, to the lower 30s in the far northwest.

Light rain will likely develop in far southern Minnesota during the
late morning, and afternoon hours, especially along the Iowa border.
Elsewhere, clear to partly cloudy skies will prevail with
temperatures in the 40s and 50s.

Saturday looks wet as a storm system moves out of the Rockies and
into the Upper Midwest. Sunday will be cooler and breezy.
