Rangeland Fire Danger Statement
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
420 AM CDT Mon Apr 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Northwest winds will become gusty this afternoon behind a passing
frontal boundary. Gusts are forecast to range from 35 to 50 mph,
with the strongest gusts across portions of central and north
central South Dakota. Afternoon humidity will drop between 15 and 25
percent for much of the region. The combination of gusty winds and
low relative humidity has led to an increase concern for fire
danger. Due to this, a Red Flag Warning has been issued for portions
of central and northeastern South Dakota this afternoon through the
evening.
