...The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a
Hydrologic Outlook for potential river flooding...for all or
portions of the following rivers in Iowa...Des Moines River...

  Affecting the following counties in Iowa...Polk

This Hydrologic Outlook is based on both observed and forecast
precipitation. The rivers may respond differently than indicated...
if actual precipitation is greater or less than expected.

Later statements...possibly warnings...will be issued as additional
information becomes available.

Outlook information for
  The Des Moines River at Des Moines SE 6th St...or From below the
  Center Street dam...to Runnells.
* At 8:00 PM Sunday the stage was 23.7 feet...or 0.3 feet below
  Flood Stage.
* Flood Stage is 24.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is possible.
* Forecast...the river may rise to Flood Stage Monday morning. The
  river may then rise to 24.4 feet...or 0.4 feet above Flood
  Stage...Monday evening. The river may go below Flood Stage Tuesday
  morning. This forecast is highly dependent on expected rainfall in the
  next 24 hours as well as any outflow changes from Saylorville Lake.
* Impact...At 24.5 feet...Deans Lake is closed.
