An area of rain and snow showers was tracking through parts of
south central Iowa as of 3pm. Brief moderate to heavy snowfall
has been reported with visibility at or below a half mile.
Light accumulations has been observed on some roads and grassy
surfaces. Most snowfall will quickly melt given air temperatures
near or above freezing. Little to no impact to local travel is
expected, however brief visibility reductions to a half mile or
less are possible as the snow shower activity pushes south and
east toward the state line over the next hour.
