...Locally Dense Fog Expected Through Mid-Morning...

The highway 30 corridor will be on the northern fringe of a larger
area of dense fog. While widespread fog is expected through mid
morning, visibilities will generally be in the one to two mile
range. However, at times local visibilities will drop to a quarter
mile or less through 9 or 10 AM before improving for the remainder
of the day. The morning commute will be especially susceptible to
local visibility restrictions so allow extra time to reach your
destination, slow down, leave extra space between yourself and
the person ahead of you and use low beams. Remember too that roads
are untreated with temperatures below freezing in many locations, the
fog may have left a thin layer of glaze making roads a little
slippery.
