We will be heading into a stretch of very hot temperatures across
southern Iowa. Highs today and Tuesday will climb into the mid
90`s with upper 90`s for Wednesday and Thursday...and may even
extend into Friday. Heat indicies will approach 100 degrees today
and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday heat indicies will climb into
the 105 to 110 range. A heat advisory may be issued for Wednesday
and Thursday once there is better resolution on the frontal
position and thunderstorm trends.

People should still plan for the heat and try and get the majority
of outdoor work done today and Tuesday. Limit exposure to the
outdoors mid to late week and make sure you drink plenty of water.
