...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Neches River At Rockland affecting Angelina, Tyler, Polk and
  Jasper Counties.

  Neches River Near Diboll affecting Houston, Polk, Trinity, Tyler
  and Angelina Counties.

  Neches River Near Alto affecting Houston, Trinity, Anderson and
  Cherokee Counties.

  Neches River Near Neches affecting Houston, Anderson and Cherokee
  Counties.

For the Neches River...including Neches, Alto, Diboll, Rockland...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River at Rockland.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Water will begin to flood several
  secondary roadways especially in the Fox Landing community.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 27.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 28.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 AM CDT Thursday was 28.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Saturday afternoon and continue falling to 23.7 feet Tuesday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    27.7 feet on 01/20/1991.

* WHERE...Neches River near Diboll.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding of boat ramps,
  paths, and trails.  Move livestock and equipment to higher ground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 AM CDT Thursday was 15.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 13.7 feet Tuesday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    14.7 feet on 01/20/1993.

  forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Alto.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding of the
  heavily wooded floodplain. Boat ramps and picnic areas will be
  completely inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.0 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 AM CDT Thursday was 18.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.0
    feet this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    18.0 feet on 02/10/1975.
