The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
  Southeastern West Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Southwestern East Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 145 PM CDT

* At 1137 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in
  the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Baton Rouge, Port Allen, Oak Hills Place, Addis, Brusly,
  Westminster, Inniswold, Gardere, Village St. George and Merrydale.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area.

deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
