.DISCUSSION...
Northwest Wisconsin will remain on the northwest edge of a large
area of low pressure in the mid-Mississippi Valley today. As a
result, the burn location will likely remain mostly cloudy through
the day with generally light east to northeast winds, although
there could be some gusts above 15 mph during this afternoon.
However, any precipitation should remain southeast of the burn
location. There is slightly lower confidence in minimum relative
humidity forecast as the burn location lies within the Pine
Barrens region, where humidities often drop significantly in
northeast flow this time of year after snow melt and before green
up. We have lowered the local min RH forecast for this specific burn
location by several percent from the planning forecast, but if
more clearing is observed this afternoon than currently forecast,
the min humidity forecast of around 40 percent could be 5 to 10
percent too high.
