This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Southwest North
Carolina...East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

...Risk of severe thunderstorms Tonight, especially across the
Plateau and southeast Tennessee...
...Windy Conditions across the far east Tennessee Mountains and
Foothills late Today and Tonight...

A strong storm system will move across the Tennessee Valley
today and tonight, producing widespread showers and
thunderstorms. Some of these storms may be severe, especially
across the Plateau and southeast Tennessee. Damaging winds will
be the main threat, with hail up to quarter size and localized
flash flooding. Isolated brief tornadoes are possible, mainly west
of I-75.

Confidence is low on how strong and widespread the storms will be
overnight.

Strong winds aloft will also develop late today and continue
through early Friday morning. Windy conditions are expected
across the far eastern Tennessee and southwest Virginia mountains
and foothills with southerly wind gusts up to 55 mph possible. A
wind advisory is in effect for the far east Tennessee Mountains
and Foothills for late today and tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

No hazardous weather is expected.
