.NOW...

At 4:00 pm, scattered showers and thunderstorms over Lake County
were spreading east toward Orange, Seminole, and inland Volusia
counties. Other isolated activity was developing north of Lake
Okeechobee.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop through
the remainder of the afternoon as the east and west coast sea
breezes collide in the vicinity of the St. Johns River. This will
lead to the highest coverage of storms across Lake and interior
Volusia counties, across metro Orlando and eventually into Osceola
county. A few strong storms will produce frequent lightning strikes
and gusty winds 40 to 50 mph. Storm motion will be slow and
erratic, but generally building southward through the afternoon.
