...Fairbanks has 207 Days in a Row Reaching Below Freezing...

Last night was the first night since September 29, 2016, that did
not have a low temperature below freezing in Fairbanks. This
makes 207 days in a row in Fairbanks that had a low temperature
that was below freezing. Fairbanks could still drop below
freezing late tonight to continue this streak, but that is not
likely.

This was the 14th longest streak of below freezing low
temperatures in Fairbanks. The longest streak was 230 days in the
winter of 1956-57. As many residents remember, the extended winter
of 2012-13 had 214 days in a row with lows below freezing.
