OVERNIGHT...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED DURING THE LATE
EVENING HOURS...AND LASTED THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS ACROSS
PORTIONS OF NORTHERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKAN...MAINLY ALONG
AND NORTH OF A NEBRASKA HIGHWAY 2 LINE. THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS
PRODUCED GUSTY WINDS AND BRIEF PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN. ELSEWHERE
ACROSS THE REGION...SKIES WERE MOSTLY CLEAR TO PARTLY
CLOUDY...WITH BRISK SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MILES PER HOUR.
SUBSEQUENTLY...LOW TEMPERATURES ONLY FELL INTO THE UPPER 60S TO
LOW 70S ACROSS THE REGION.

TODAY...A VERY WARM AND HUMID DAY IS IN STORE FOR ALL OF WESTERN
AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...AS HIGH TEMPERATURES REACH INTO THE
LOW 90S TO NEAR 100 DEGREES. DEW POINT TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 60S
TO LOW 70S WILL MAKE FOR A VERY HUMID DAY. IN ADDITION TO THE WARM
TEMPERATURES...SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE THROUGH THE
MORNING HOURS...REACHING 10 TO 20 MILES PER HOUR IN THE AFTERNOON.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE THIS
AFTERNOON...WITH SOME STORMS BECOMING STRONG TO SEVERE. DUE TO THE
WARM TEMPERATURES TODAY...THOSE WITH OUTDOOR PLANS ARE REMINDED TO
STAY HYDRATED TO PREVENT HEAT EXHAUSTION. REMEMBER TO CHECK THE
BACKSEAT WHEN LEAVING YOUR VEHICLE...AND DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN AND
PETS UNATTENDED IN PARKED VEHICLES.
