WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TODAY THROUGHOUT THE MIDSOUTH
DUE TO AN UPPER LEVEL HEIGHT RIDGE PARKED OVER THE LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY REGION. TEMPERATURES TODAY ARE EXPECTED TO BE 1 TO 2
DEGREES WARMER THAN YESTERDAY MAKING IT THE HOTTEST DAY OF THE
YEAR THUS FAR. TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 90S TODAY WILL
COMBINE WITH DEWPOINTS NEAR 70 DEGREES PRODUCING HEAT INDICES OVER 100
DEGREES.

THE UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT OUR WEATHER THROUGH
THE WEEKEND LEAVING THE MIDSOUTH WARM AND DRY. HIGHS WILL BE IN
THE UPPER 90S THROUGH MONDAY WITH LOWS ONLY FALLING TO THE LOW TO
MID 70S. RAIN CHANCES WILL INCREASE EARLY NEXT WEEK AS THE RIDGE
SHIFTS EAST.
