WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE MIDSOUTH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN
418 AM CST WED NOV 26 2014

A FAST MOVING STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE MID SOUTH TODAY.
THE BEST COMBINATION OF MOISTURE AND LIFT SHOULD REMAIN ACROSS THE
NORTHERN HALF OF THE REGION. RAIN SHOWERS SHOULD DEVELOP TODAY AND
CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING. THE GREATEST POTENTIAL SHOULD REMAIN
NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40. TEMPERATURES WILL BE SEASONABLE TODAY BUT
SHOULD DROP LATER TONIGHT BEHIND A COLD FRONT.

CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD SOUTH INTO THE AREA FOR
THANKSGIVING DAY WITH DRY WEATHER AND COOL TEMPERATURES EXPECTED.
THIS HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE QUICKLY EAST BY FRIDAY WITH A
RETURN TO SOUTHERLY WINDS. THIS SHOULD MARK THE BEGINNING OF A
QUICK WARMUP BY THIS WEEKEND ALONG WITH INCREASING MOISTURE
LEVELS. ISOLATED SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE BY SUNDAY. TEMPERATURES
SHOULD RISE BACK ABOVE AVERAGE THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL PUSH INTO THE AREA EARLY NEXT WEEK AND
STALL. COOLER TEMPERATURES WILL FILTER IN TO THE NORTH OF THE
FRONT. THIS WILL ALSO ALLOW FOR A CONTINUATION OF SCATTERED SHOWERS
INTO MONDAY. THE FRONT SHOULD LIFT BACK TO THE NORTH THROUGH MID
WEEK WITH A RETURN TO WARMER TEMPERATURES AND CONTINUED ISOLATED
SHOWERS.
