...THUNDERSTORMS AND VERY HEAVY RAIN HEADING FOR THE GENESEE
VALLEY...

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS IN THE BUFFALO
METROPOLITAN AREA AT 7 AM ARE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL
IMPACT PORTIONS OF THE GENESEE VALLEY AFTER 8 AM. THESE STORMS
HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING MORE THAN A QUARTER INCH OF RAIN IN
LESS THAN 15 MINUTES AND UP TO AN INCH OF RAIN IN TOTAL.

THIS RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN SERIOUS PONDING OF WATER ON AREA
ROADWAYS FOR MORNING COMMUTERS AND POSSIBLY SOME BASEMENT
FLOODING.
