...NOAA Weather Radio station KZZ81 in Lockport will be off the
air for transmitter maintenance on Wednesday August 24...

NOAA Weather Radio station KZZ81, broadcasting from a tower in
Lockport, on a frequency of 162.425 MHz, will be off the air for
about 12 hours, beginning 8:00 AM CDT Wednesday August 24. Service
should be restored by around 8:00 PM.

Listeners may tune in to KWO39 on a frequency of 162.55 MHz in
Chicago, KXI58 on a frequency of 162.400 in Plano or KZZ58 on a
frequency of 162.525 in Kankakee as alternate NOAA Weather Radio
broadcasts.

The weekly Tone Alarm Test for KZZ81 in Lockport will be conducted
on Thursday August 25 between 11:00 AM and Noon. The weekly Tone
Alarm Test will be conducted on all other NOAA Weather Radio
stations at the regular time on Wednesday between 11:00 AM and
Noon.

If there is severe weather in the area on Wednesday August 24,
the outage will be delayed until the next available fair weather
day.
