...PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW MAY IMPACT THE MORNING COMMUTE OVER FAR
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS...

LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND PARTS OF
NORTHWEST INDIANA EARLY THIS MORNING...WITH MINOR ACCUMULATIONS
LIKELY IMPACTING THE MORNING COMMUTE ESPECIALLY NORTH OF CHICAGO.
AN OCCASIONAL BRIEF BURST OF MODERATE SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE IN
THOSE AREAS WITH VISIBILITY LOCALLY FALLING TO UNDER ONE MILE AT
TIMES WITHIN THE HEAVIER SNOW. TIMING OF THE SNOW WILL BE IN THE 5
AM TO 10 AM CST TIME FRAME...WITH AREAS NORTH AND EAST OF A HARVARD
TO CHICAGO TO VALPARAISO INDIANA LINE MOST LIKELY TO SEE LIGHT
ACCUMULATIONS...WHILE AREAS FARTHER SOUTH AND WEST SEE LITTLE OR
NO ACCUMULATION.

UP TO AN INCH OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE MAINLY NORTH OF CHICAGO...WHERE
RATHER COLD TEMPERATURES AND BRIEFLY HIGHER SNOWFALL RATES WILL
ALLOW FOR ANY SNOW TO ACCUMULATE ON ROADWAYS. MOTORISTS IN THESE
AREAS SHOULD USE CAUTION AS SLICK CONDITIONS AND REDUCED
VISIBILITY COULD MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.
